Primary school websites that families notice.
Families judge you on what they find before they ever visit. Over 1,000 school sites built since 2011 by people who still answer the phone.
We audited 247 school websites in 2025. Six and a half per cent were fully compliant. The rest had something missing, something out of date, or something that had never been right. That is what this software is for.
Schudio compliance audit, 2025
Designed for your school, not adapted from a template.
Every Schudio site is built to your school's colours, crest and character. The design system underneath it is ours, which means it works on every device, loads quickly, and does not need a developer to update it. What you see in the preview is what parents see on the day it goes live.
- Designed to your school's identity, not a theme you share with 300 others
- Mobile-first, because most parents read your site on a phone
- Accessible to WCAG 2.1 AA as standard, not as an add-on
- Six to eight weeks from brief to live, agreed with you at the start
Compliance is a maintenance problem. We built the tools to solve it.
The DfE list of required website content changes. Schools publish the right document, then the site drifts. We built Document Groups specifically to stop that happening.
Publish a document once. It updates everywhere.
Most of what a primary school publishes is a document, not a page. A Document Group is one named place for a set of them. When you upload this year's Ofsted report, it appears on every page that shows it. When you retire last year's, it disappears from all of them at once.
This is how we treat compliance as a maintenance problem rather than a publishing one. You publish the right document once. The site does not drift after that.
Families choose you before they ever walk through the door.
Reception intake is where a falling birth rate lands first, and it lands on primaries before anyone else. When there are fewer families to go round, the ones who are choosing do their looking online. Most will read your website, compare it with two or three others, and form a view long before they ring to book a visit.
The problem is not that school websites are bad. It is that most of them were built to satisfy an inspector rather than to answer a parent. The statutory pages are all present and correct, and the questions a family is actually asking are nowhere. That is the gap we close.
What a family asks, and what most sites lead with.
Everything in the right hand column has to be published, and on a Schudio site it is. None of it is what a family came to find out.
The CMS is built for the person who also answers the phone.
We have been building school websites since 2012. The people who update them are office managers, headteachers and teaching assistants, not web developers. The CMS reflects that. You do not need training to change a date, upload a letter or add a news item.
Click on any part of the page to edit it. No separate admin panel to navigate.
Upload a document once. Every page that shows it updates automatically.
Check any letter before it goes home. Free with every site.
Drafts content, audits your site for compliance. Never publishes anything without you.
Write with Schudio drafts page content in your school's own tone, because it has read your existing site first. The AI-Chatbot answers parent questions directly on your website, drawing only from your own published content. AI-powered compliance audits read your whole site and flag what is missing, thin or quietly out of date. None of them publish anything without you.
Founded in 2011. Still owner-run. Still in Blackpool.
Every competitor in this market is a design agency. We are a fifteen-year software company that is also small enough that the founder answers the phone. We built the CMS, we built the compliance tools, and we built the AI Suite. When something in the DfE requirements changes, we update the platform. You do not have to ask us to.
We have trained over 5,000 school staff. Most of them were not expecting to enjoy it. Most of them did.
One price. No surprises.
The build is a one-off cost agreed at the start. After that, one annual fee covers hosting, support, software updates and compliance monitoring.

Headteacher, Church of England Primary, LancashireThe five questions primaries always ask.
How much does a primary school website cost?
£1,200 a year including the AI Suite, or £950 a year without it. That is our list price for a new primary school website. Anything beyond the standard build is quoted separately and agreed with you before you commit.
How long does it take?
Six to eight weeks is standard. We agree the date with you at the start and plan around your term dates so the heavy weeks do not land on your busiest ones.
What happens to the content on our current website?
We move it. Our team migrates your existing pages, documents and images into the new site rather than handing you an empty shell to fill in the summer holidays.
Who trains us to use it?
We do, and it is the same people who built the software. We have trained more than five thousand school staff, online and in person.
We are still in contract with our current provider. Can we move?
Yes. We plan the build around your existing contract so you are not paying two providers at the same time, and we time the launch for when the old one ends.
A school website that is genuinely good, stays compliant, and one person can keep right. That is what we build.
