Performance Tables – School Website Requirement

What is the Performance Tables Requirement?

The school website requirement for performance tables states that "you must include a link to the school and college performance tables and your school’s performance tables page."

This means that you need to choose an appropriate place to add a link to your specific school's performance tables on the relevant government website.

What steps do I need to take to meet the Performance Tables Requirement?

This is a really simple requirement to meet!

However, you do need to make sure you link to the correct information and then check the link works.

We suggest you follow these 5 easy steps:

1: Go to the School Performance Tables website

2: Search for your school by name, URN or location.

3: Locate your school in the list and click on the name of your school.

4: Copy the link.

5: Add the link to your results specific page on your school website.

Where should I add the Performance Tables link to my school website?

We would encourage you to ensure the link is easy to find and not buried out of the way.

Our advice is to choose from one of the following two options:

Option 1 - Add the link to a specific page on your website.

You may decide to create a specific page to publish your performance tables link and on it, you could also include your Ofsted report and exam results.

Lots of schools choose this option because all the information is relevant to your school's performance and it's all displayed on one single page making it very easy to find. This option also removes the need of adding another menu link on your website.

For an example of this option please see here: Congleton High School Performance Tables

Option 2 - Link Direct from your menu.

This popular option links straight through to your performance results page on the government's website with no need for visitors to go to a page on your website before reaching your results.

One important thing to note for both options, as you are linking to an external website make sure that your links open in a new window. This is always best practice so that viewers don’t lose your page.

And that's it! A really straightforward requirement to meet in full, very easily and quickly.

IMPORTANT NOTE: RESULTS FOR 2020/21 & (2019/20):

The Government has announced that it will not publish any school or college level educational performance data based on tests, assessments or exams for 2020 or 2021.

Here is a link to the update which clarifies what this means for the way school and college accountability will operate for the years 2019/2020 and 2020/2021.
