It was a great opportunity to meet others with the same challenges as us - marketing for us is an on-going challenge and we need to be proactive and innovative , Ian and his team are supporting us brilliantly. We left with plenty of ideas and a network of people we can liaise with."

Our Marketing Forum was created to bring together senior leaders and decision-makers to share ideas, discuss their struggles and leave with clear, definable goals to achieve over the next marketing period.

The inspiration came from Lancashire Forum, a peer network and business masterclass programme, designed to "inspire and foster a culture which supports and brings together ambitious growth businesses and provides knowledge and support from Lancaster University and its associates." 

I was part of the first cohort of Lancashire Forum last year and because the program had such a dramatic effect on our business, I was inspired to look at something along a similar line with some of our clients. We are incredibly proud of the work done by some of the schools and colleges we work with and I was very keen to celebrate that. On the flip-side, these same schools all face similar issues of budget cuts, a declining demographic and an ever increasing array of pressures and demands placed on them from all sides.

By carefully selecting those we think would most engage with the process, and who would provide valuable insights to their peers, we have created a safe, inspiring environment for teams to take time out from their establishments and focus on thinking into the future.

Our first session was specifically for the marketers at some of the countries leading sixth form colleges and was an enormously productive day for all.

The opportunity to spend time with colleagues in the small world of sixth forms are rare. Even rarer is the opportunity to be able to exchange views and come away feeling supported both professionally and with fresh ideas.

We will shortly be running our Primary School Forum. The format will be different but the goal the same; to provide a safe environment to share the joys and struggles of your school and gain targeted, valuable insights to help you push forward in a number of key areas.
